Some of the prior reviewers incorrectly state that the selection is poor - but how could it be with over 100 (mostly imports).
True - mostly a working class, low-pretense kind of joint - but that is bonus to a lot of people. Thursday is the night to be there - lots of action, lots of beer - interesting characters. Pretty entertaining place from a social observer point of view. Recommended to go to - at least once.

Sure they only have 1 beer brewed in house, but it is a very refreshing and enjoyable lager. Also, the brewmaster changes the recipe slightly every batch so there are always new nuances to find. But the overall selection of beer is absolutly amazing. They have over 110 beers on hand most of which are imported from everywhere in the world. Also, if they don't have one you want they take request and will get the beer you want. Prices are also very affordable. Bar staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The food, especially the pizza, is excellent. This place gets my top recomendation in Windsor and the Detroit area. If you are a true beer lover do yourself a favor and check this place out.

The previous review is accurate. Charlie's is basically a rather large and somewhat popular working class bar with only one of their own beers on tap. Curiously, it's an American light lager not very different from the ordinary North American beers, although it is crisp and clean. They do live up to their claim of being Windsor's only brewpub, but it's difficult to imagine seeking out Charlie's a destination for real beer lovers.

Charly’s Brewpub brews only one beer, named Time Out. It is a light crisp lager that while lacking in great flavor it is clean and refreshing. The bar is typical of most northern blue-collar bars in that there is nothing upscale or trendy here. All in all, if you are in Windsor stop by but it’s not worth a separate trip just to visit the brewpub.
